Homeschooling and Flexibility

I’ve been thinking about flexibility lately.
It may, or may not, have something to do with the 66% of Southwest airline flights that were cancelled today. ✈️
Sometimes it is certainly easier to “go with the flow” than other times.
And life has its way of teaching those lessons: a broken arm in basketball season for example.
I guess motherhood in general teaches you that: nursing the baby, sleep schedules, sickness, trips to the grocery store (again!), visitors. Oh, and yes, that school thing we are supposed to be fitting in there sometime.
What is our priority supposed to be?
I think we need to be gracious and kind and exemplify our Christian behavior in these times.
I also think that we need to realize that God has put us in a unique situation. Is there something special that we can do to help and encourage others?
Another question: Is there someone who needs the Gospel? I need to be on the lookout for those opportunities!
So when you or I are having to be flexible, look on it as an opportunity to exercise Christian virtues, encourage others, and share the Gospel.
And that’s what I’m working on right now.

Happy Thanksgiving! Avoid Unrealistic Expectations

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving day with your family and friends. God made us to be connected to people- so no matter what that looks like this year (In person, outside, Skype, FB, Duo, Zoom, etc.) I hope you take the time and make the effort to stay connected.

People do better when they are connected to people.

People do best when they are right with God.
