How your grandchildren can provide the motivation you need for weight loss and healthy living

Can you think of a better weight loss motivation?  Grandchildren.  They are so sweet, adorable and wonderful!

I want to hold those grandbabies, rock them to sleep, help them with their baths, sing lullabies and folk tunes to them.

I want to take them to the playground and push them on the swingset.  I want to climb up in the playground equipment and help them sit down to slide down the slide.  I can almost hear them laughing now!  I want to go on long walks, play in the creek or swim at the pool.

Now I know sometimes God doesn’t allow His children to be healthy, but I’m going to do everything I can to be healthy and that includes maintaining a healthy weight.  And for me that means some weight loss! What about you?

You aren’t too fat to lose weight.

You aren’t too old.

You aren’t too __________.   That means you have no excuses.  Start today. Start where you are. Set a goal and stick with it.

That’s what I’m doing. I have pictures up of cute grandchildren to help motivate me.

Figure out what you need to do to eat 500 calories a day less so that you can start losing weight.

You can do this, one ounce, one pound at a time.

Important: Before starting any weight loss program, diet or exercise, you should see your doctor. Even if you need to take classes, go through a behavior modification/ stress relief program, you need to do whatever it takes. Your grandchildren need you!
